Corindi Public School is a vibrant and dynamic school with strong links to our local community. Situated in a beautiful coastal bushland setting, Corindi Public School offers exceptional learning programs for students from the villages of Corindi and Red Rock as well as the communities of Halfway Creek and the Range. Our high quality educational programs are designed to cater for the needs and wellbeing of all students physically, socially and intellectually, with competence in Literacy and Numeracy being of high priority.
The school focuses on the development of the whole child by delivering a variety of innovative programs. Student Leadership is encouraged and developed through several initiatives including the Student Representative Council, the Anti-Bullying, Environmental, Welfare and Sport Committees and our Peer Support program.
Gifted and Talented programs provide the opportunity for students to extend their expertise in different key learning areas. A wide variety of sporting activities including surfing, volleyball, basketball, soccer, netball, touch football, rugby league and cricket are offered to students.
Our K-2 Sports program focuses on developing fundamental movement skills as well as team work and sportsmanship. Students are given the opportunity to participate in school musicals, choir, dance troupes and creative clubs through our Creative and Performing Arts program.
Sustainability, healthy eating and the environment are features of our school culture and we are proud of our flourishing vege garden, green canteen and recycling and composting programs.
